Weblogs work; they do for Slingbox anyway…

Slingbox is a venture backed start-up that developed a box that allows you to watch your TV or TIVO from anywhere in the world (assuming you have a high speed internet connection). I blogged about the device on a few occasions in another blog about venture investing in Texas here, here and here.

Anyway, to make a long story short I bought the Slingbox and tried to install it (and it did not work). At the end of the day it is likely that I have some sort of network issue, but I decided to update my blog here and let everyone know I was having troubles.

So within an hour Blake, the CEO and co-founder of Sling Media added a comment to my blog that can be found here. This is exactly what all CEOs need to be doing :: LISTENING TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. Weblogs work in two directions.

FedEx Furniture Update

This morning I recieved an update from Jacqueline regarding the “FedEx Furniture Guy.” Here is the scoop:

“The guy’s name is Jose and he is an awesome Latino/American guy who has a penchant for tequila. Tom is his friend from CA who recently moved to Seattle and made the original small FedEx Box table. Jose is the guy who made an entire apartment’s worth of FedEx box furniture and then bravely posted it on a website under FedExFurniture.com. Jose is also the man who is now inundated with legal issues due to the website while still living completely on cardboard boxes.”
