How to get your items on ShopSavvy

Each day we hear from local retailers that they want to get their items in ShopSavvy.  Getting your items into ShopSavvy is quite easy by using Google Base.  Just add your items (with UPCs) into Google Base and presto they will be available in ShopSavvy (more on Google Base here: http://www.google.com/base).  After you enter them in Google Base you can have your items appear in local listings by emailing us at sales@biggu.com and include the following information:

Of course, you can add location attributes to your items in Google Base, but 90% of the retailers we see don’t take that step.  If you can include the location data in Google Base – you are golden (email us anyway so that we can ensure your items are showing up correctly).

OK, but what about shoppers who are standing in front of the best local price? Any plans on allowing consumers to alert other consumers (by way of informing ShopSavvy) about the better deal?

And how about those medium size retailers with a large number of UPC, and Inventory information. Is there anything that they can do to ensure that their inventory will be found/displayed by ShopSavvy. Is there an API to share/load information?

  3. @Carlos – the post you commented on explains how to get your UPCs into Google Base. We will query Base, and your listings, with each scan.

@Brenden – we have a plan and our hope is to implement it shortly.
