The guys are almost ready to release our next version of ShopSavvy.  Our only question, how often is too often for updates?  Monthly or Quarterly?

    To answer the question:
Make sure all releases are stable so you don’t have to release patches the same week. If you abide to that criteria, then you can update everytime you have a new feature that deserves some attention.

  2. Me says:

Once a month is cool. Quarterly doesn’t give us much to look forward to. First or Last day of each month would be best for updates/new releases.

  3. Peate says:

If you fight again a competitor a monthly release will probably do a good job (if it works). Otherwise a quarterly update will satisfy.

  4. josh says:

Monthly is good for sure, it only takes a few seconds to update the app on the user end. I say give the people what they want as soon as you can, doesnt hut to have it available right away.

  5. Michelle says:

I will be happy with monthly. I agree with roy’s #1 comment. I would also be happy with weekly since I love seeing what’s new. But stable is the most important!

  6. Brian says:

It depends on how big the updates would be, and what would be added/changed.

Do you plan on adding more stores to the mix? I noticed Target wasn’t listed, online or local.

  7. Ive says:

Do you plan on making this app available for blackerry devices? Namely the “Storm”. I think that it is a great app that everyons should have.

  8. Matt says:

There is no such thing as too soon. Why wait? Just release as soon as updates are stable.

  9. Another Roy says:

If it’s a major update then release it as soon as it’s stable. For minor updates just gather them up and release once a month.
