THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!

If you need anyone to test {I’m using the Touch Pro 2 from T-Mobile} or you just feel like making me the envy of all my Windows Mobile buddies, please hook me up with a .cab file!!! [LOL]

This is the only app I missed after my Android experiment and coming back to WM. And the bing maps can’t hurt…

    Any Updates?

  12. Mke C says:

Any idea of when it will release for Windows Mobile?

  13. DK Brorthers says:

Okay, it’s November 9, 2009. The Holiday season approaches. I NEED this app to get me through the buying season!!! Has the app been cancelled? Delayed? Can we get an update please?

    • amuse says:

The WinMo version has been delayed indefinitely – circumstances beyond our control and unfortunately I haven’t been able to comment on why… Sorry.

  14. Dale says:

Delayed indefinitely!!!! Please tell me this is a joke. This is a killer app, I need it on my Touch Pro 2. Please…..

  15. Dale says:

    PS….. I’ll gladly test a beta version!

  16. JB says:

    OH…please no….
I was waiting for this to come to Windows mobile for so long.
Why have you decided not to release it?

  17. drz says:

Hrmm… Delayed indefinately, can’t comment (NDR), pushed to iPhone when it was projected that the WinMo dev was, presumably, ahead of iPhone… I don’t want to think that it may be due to, possible, requested iPhone exclusivity but how can that notion not tickle your thoughts. Or, perhaps, development was stalled while pursuing iPhone push to production (lets face it, ShopSavvy available for iPhone would bring in more cash flow than WinMo) and a WinMo ShopSavvy app will be available down the road.

I am looking forward to this app as well as my wife. I would have loved to have it for the Christmas season, but I can wait.

    • amuse says:

The truth is less interesting. No pressure from Apple to delay WinMo launch. No exclusivity. Technical problem with SQL CE requirement. After the holidays we will get it done. Coming soon.

  18. aberis says:

So release it through your own site without the SQL CE and then meet the requirements of Marketplace . . . . please???

  19. Joe says:

Darn! I got rid of my iPhone for a WM6.5 device and saw all over the internet that the app would be ready for WM before iPhone. What a bummer!

  20. Cristkolo says:

Yeah… just release it as a BETA as is… and in the mean time, work on the final requirements… Or somebody will release a similar app before you and all interest in this will die off.

    • amuse says:

We are in this game for the long haul. There will be other apps that do the same thing, but I hope there will always be room for ShopSavvy in the shopping universe. We will release sometime early next year. We need two solid weeks to finish it.

  21. Jay says:

I dont’ think they will post the words I want to write in frustration and disappointment that this app is delayed indefinately. My coworker got the G1 when it first came out and I have been frantically searching for a WinMo equivalent. This is hands down one of the most useful apps I have seen and can’t wait to use it on my TP2.

  22. Wcupp says:

    When is this app happening?

    • amuse says:

Currently there is not a version of ShopSavvy for Windows Mobile. We have about two solid weeks of programming left to be able to launch. Our hope is to dedicate a couple of weeks in January or February to finish the application. Check our blog regularly for more details.

  23. Cristkolo says:

Well, it’s late January… any updates??

  24. Matt D. says:

Based on what I’ve seen on the site it would appear that Nokia has been given a higher priority than Windows Mobile. I completely understand focusing development efforts on those things which will bring in the most money, everyone’s got to make a liiving, but it’s just disappointing when a platform like Windows Mobile is shoved to the back of the line. The WinMo install base is 7 times the size of Google based on the latest ComScore survey and Apple only recently overtook the WinMo platform. I only ask that you please consider this as you look at current and future product development. Windows Mobile has a solid install base with people who are interested in your software. Thanks and I look forward to when you publish Shop Savvy for Windows Mobile.

    • amuse says:

The Nokia project was funded by Nokia – it didn’t cost us a dime or take a minute of our time. With regard to the size of the market – the Windows Mobile market is important and we will be a big player there. I think there are 50 apps in the store. There is a reason this is the case. I don’t need to air the dirty laundry. Our WinMo version will rock – we hope to have it out soon.

  25. Peterman says:

Any updates on this Windows Mobile version?

  26. MrViZZiATO says:

true bs im sorry when already the announced an ipad version and not one for wm??? what gives here guys??

  27. shopsavvy=winmo says:

Come on guys…I’m with mrvizziato on this one. The iPad has another couple months before anyone will even see it. Give us something useful in the terrible world of windows

  28. James says:

Money talks, BS walks. Nokia funded their development, smart move. Makes total business sense. So what is the case with Apple? Is Apple funding development where Microsoft is not? I never understand why companies dont support Windows mobile with the same vigor. Enlighten us. Then people will stop asking the same question.

    • amuse says:

The app is coming. Of course there is a reason that there are more than 100,000 iPhone apps and around 50 WinMo apps in the market.

  29. winmo fan says:

Windows Mobile version please. We’ve been waiting so long! This is a goldmine is the making for the wm platform. probably become the number 1 app in short time due to the lack of useful, beautiful apps.

  30. Jack Chu says:

Finally a promising announcement. Thank you amuse!

  31. Peterman says:

    I can’t wait either!!! Thank’s amuse.

  32. Yus says:

So when is it going to be released for windows mobile as im sure we are all waiting anxiously

  33. Jack Chu says:

Mobiletag has an app out on wm already.. which is very similar to iphone.
    http://www.pocketpcfreeware.mobi/download-mobiletag-barcodes-reader.html

  34. jim says:

The Mobiletag app does not work well at all (at least on my HTC TP2) I’m still waiting patiently for this release. Any word?

  35. Peterman says:

That Mobiletag app is pretty bad and did not work for my HTC TP. We can’t compare the UI to yours though because yours isn’t out for WM.

  36. Cristkolo says:

Mobiletag works for my htc Imagio really well… I actually like it a lot! I was playing at Tj Maxx with barcodes and it was comparing items to Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, Ebay and other place I didn’t even heard online. On electronics it pulled up BEst Buy, CompUSA, Staples and Office Depot, Ebay, Amazon, Buy.com… IT is great… and like I said in last post back in December… I tend ot stick with the first thing, so Shop Savvy has lost one customer… took too long… now another one came and LISTENED to what consumers wanted!

  37. jim says:

Hi Amuse. How’s it going? What’s the schedule looking like now?

  38. DK Brothers says:

I too have become disillusioned with Big In Japan. The guys over at XDA Developers could have had this app completed in a month – and on their own time. The only reason I wanted this app was I used it on my G1. Android has yet to prove to me to be ready for primetime so back to WM I went. First a Touch Pro2 now the HD2 and still no ShopSavvy. Oh well – my loss.

HELLO MOBILETAG – I hope they really ripped off SS.

  39. DK Brothers says:

…another item of interest: 99% of Windows Mobile Apps ARE NOT in the WM Market.

oh and I am not amused.

  40. Blacky says:

Whats about SHopSavvy für Windows Mobile 6.x ?
is there an working application aviable?
if not how long does it take ?

  41. Sams Jordan says:

After emailing the people from this company they feel it WILL NOT BE RELEASED FOR WINDOWS MOBILE. Just a heads up that I’m giving any people here looking for answers about what happened to this app. They said that they are more busy with paying apps (like Android apps and iPhone apps) so they will most likely not continue working on this one. Which sucks I know.

  42. Criskolo says:

Screw this shit….. June and NOTHING. FUCK YOU Amuse and SHop Savy. FUCK YOU!
