ShopSavvy for Blackberry Update!
Okay, I will admit that two of our developers have been working on a Blackberry version of ShopSavvy for about 30 days. There are still a number hurdles they need to overcome, but a version of ShopSavvy for Blackberry is definitely on its way. Once the application is working we will complete the UI and design and release the application. Based on our current workload I suspect that the application skeleton will be completed in early January and by mid-March we could have the UI completed. Please don’t hold me to these dates. There are a number of projects that could extend this time line. So App World, get ready for ShopSavvy.
Wow, I came here checking on this very thing, and it’s at the top of the blog. Awesome, look forward to having ShopSavvy on my BB Tour in the spring. Keep it up guys!
Fantastic,
If you need Beta, or even alpha or pre-alpha testers, let me know!!!
Add me to your email list as to announcing the app for rim
Thanks
Can’t wait! I’d also be willing to help with beta. I’m really looking forward to having ShopSavvy on my BB
My bastard friend just got a new phone – HTC Hero. Before he gives it to me to play with he tells me about this great app that he found and I must see, and then proceeds to demonstrate ShopSavvy for me. I wanted to kill him right then.
I can only contain my homicidal feelings for a month or two. So, guys, to save the life of a dear friend of mine – please, release the blackberry version now!!!
If you don’t, his death will be on your hands.
I’m just saying…
OMG – we are working on it. Please don’t do anything rash!!!!
I’ll try not to. But these voices in my head. They keep getting louder……. Saying things like “I wonder how much that item would be on the internet”. “Don’t buy it in this shop, it’s bound to be cheaper somewhere else”. But these voices don’t tell me where!!!
I want it!
If there’s an email list put me on it.
I am very excited to try ShopSavvy on my BB. Please add me to your email list to keep me up to date. I would also be very interested in being a beta tester.
If there’s an email list put me on it.
Would love an email notification when the BB app is available!
I have a Storm2 and would be glad to be a beta tester!!
Please add me to your email list for the Blackberry version….Please. I need it so bad. Thank you.
Charlie
I can’t wait to see this on my blackberry! if you need a beta tester I’d love to be added to an email list
The frame rate on the Storm is VERY slow. We are struggling to get this going – we will figure it out eventually.
AWSOME App! I cannot wait to see it on my BB! Please keep us informed!
Cheers,
Pete
Don’t waste your time on the storm then! Just get the Bold going!!!
Lol or getting it going on the Pearl 8120 would be cool too! I would be happy to alpha or beta test as well! Please out me on your mailing list!
Please hurry…edocrab is too slow (if it works) and scanlife doesn’t even do that. As an ecommerce owner ShopSavvy would be of great help to our business.
I’d even be thrilled with a non-scanning version; I’d enter the UPC code manually into a ShopSavvy app if I had to! I suspect the Bold 9000 camera isn’t going to work well since it doesn’t autofocus.
We are releasing a .mobi version of ShopSavvy for anyone with a smartphone. This should be a stop-gap until we release on your platform.
Help! I need this for my Storm2. PLease add me to your emial list. Happy to test if you need more betas. Thank you!
Please add me to the email list
ffor this app
cant you guys just release some version for the other bb’s and just do the storm later… look at the sales numbers – nobody even has storms anymore they suck. just release one for the tour/bold/curve people. whats going to happen is everyone is using this edocrab program, theyre going to get used it it, update it as it gets polished, and then forget about shopsavvy. you guys really should be out there, like LAST YEAR. bb outsold all other platforms this holiday season (again), why dont you make this a priority. i never even pay for apps, and i would actually pay a couple of bucks for this if it was released already…
We’ve got a solution. It is pretty novel (works on all BB versions). We just need some time.
This is THE ONE app I want on my Bold 9000. Does this .mobi version work on bold 9000? How do I get it?
And yes, even if I have to type in the UPC code … or voice recognition?
I’d be very interested in testing … have a Bold 9700. I currently also use the iPhone app.
my wife got the new verizon droid and just showed this app to me…bummed that my storm can’t get it…she is running all over the house looking for bar codes…too funny…so now i’m ….waiting….waiting….waiting…
Please add me to the list to be notified when it becomes available
My coworkers are rubbing this app in my face with their Android & iPhone based devices, please escalate the development priority on the UI for BB OS v5.0. Would gladly volunteer as a beta tester for you. Keep up the good work!
Many Thanks.
– Deeno
Comon fellas, you can do it! Please hurry as you might just save my colleagues life. If I hear one more thing about his new Google phone and Android I might just flip!!
Happy to beta test and please add me to the notifications list.
Nice1!
Rich.
Please add me to the list to be notified when it becomes available for the Curve 8330.
Anything yet? I’m eagerly waiting for the arrival of this app
We’ll post as soon as it is available.
Add me to the list of testers for the BB Curve 8330.
I would like to beta test this app on my bb curve 8330.
I would at least like to know how this mobi version works for now?? any help with this??
We will post as soon as it is ready.
Would love to beta test it. Please keep my email on your distribution list. thanks!
Any date yet on release? I tried the edocrab and it sucked. Would give reviews for a totally different product then what I scanned and half stuff scanned would not show….so I am eagerly waiting for the release of ShopSavvy…..
I take it this has come to a halt. We haven’t heard anything in weeks except that it continues to be tested.
Any word yet?
So anything new on Shopsavvy for the BB Storm yet?
Thanks

I too am interested as to when this program is going to be ready for Blackberries. With fewer and fewer companies supporting Blackberries (which figures because I just got mine) it would be nice to see you guys support it.
Just fill out this form and we will let you know: https://spur.wufoo.com/forms/shopsavvy-for-blackberry/
Please add me to your distribution list of beta testers on the BlackBerry 8530 Curve 2 software… Thanks!

Not yet.
Wow! The latest blog says that the BB version will now be out in Nov 2010!!! – That’s a let down – Here I thought that BB was the 1st or at least the 2nd most used OS in the mobile world.
Deeno – you are correct about BB being the most popular OS. The problem is that very few BB users know about apps – the numbers are surprisingly low. This is changing, but slowly.
amuse, I can agree with that statement, with the average BB’s screen size and for what they were originally meant to accomplish (business communication) you have a point. Thanks for your quick response. –Deeno
Would LOVE the ShopSavvy APP on my blackberry tour 9630!!! I had NOT been in to apps as a BB user – but now with my IPAD – I am very aware of APPS and want them for my BB!!! PLEASE!
